When baseballs were fyling out of stadiums at a prodigious rate, when MLB was populated by once svelte players who began to look like King Kong, and athletes outside of the US were routinely tested for drug use, anybody who could add 2 and 2 together knew that steroids were rampant in test-free baseball. Every time Jose Conseco took the field at Fenway as far back as the mid-eighties he was greeted with a steriods, steriods chant.
